Alaro City Main Boulevard is at 80% completion stage
The road adopts the best global standards with storm drainage and greenery systems, as well as cycling and pedestrian lanes. Experts see it as a model for the future of increased public-private partnerships in road construction and other critical infrastructure development.
2022 - City Update
Construction in Alaro City is progressing swiftly
Universal One is building its first 96 blocks of apartments using the innovative formwork technology.
Also currently under construction are the main boulevard, which is the longest privately owned road in Africa, Starium BUA’s detergent factory, Sana Group, Mantrac Caterpillar and the ultra modern 90,000m2 logistics park amongst numerous other projects.
2022 -CSR
Alaro City’s CSR programs are anchored on four CSR pillars: Education, Health, Conservation and Community.
Alaro City has continued to strengthen its partnership with the Lagos State Office of Civic Engagement for Mother, Infant and Child Development (MICHD, a nutritional support program that provides weekly nutritional food packs and supplements to indigent pregnant women across 2 Local Government Areas and 3 Local Council Development Areas of Alaro City’s host community.
2021
In 2021, Unity Homes, a developer of inclusive residential communities, and Rendeavour, Africa’s largest new city builder, are expanding their partnership from Kenya to Nigeria with a 576-unit apartment complex in the Lekki Free Zone in Lagos.
2019
In 2019, Africa’s largest new city developer, Rendeavour, in partnership with the Lagos State Government, broke ground on a new satellite city development in the Lekki Free Zone as part of a joint venture that would boost foreign direct investment in Nigeria and create tens of thousands of jobs.
